Start painting behind tube so that the edges come out around tube looking a little smokey
close the visiblity
Activate base and make new raster layer,name layer "overlay".
Take your brush tool (same settings as before) and randomly apply making sure base layer still shows through.
Merge layer down onto base layer-Duplicate, base layer
go to effects-Plug-ins-ECWShalftone-Spiral Dot 4x4
In your layer palettes-Set Blend mode to burn,Opactiy to 42
Then merge down on to base layer
Copy base layer-set blend mode to multiply-merge down.
Make smoke layer visible and merge down on to base layer.
Activate the tube layer,go to effect-drop shadow and set to setting below , MAKE SURE SHADOW ON NEW LAYER
Select your smudge tool and set to these settings
Make sure your on the tube layer, take smudge tool and blend the bottome of the tube with small up and down motions
Merge layer onto tube shadow 1 layer
Use Crop Tool to remove paint that went off the canvas
Go to Selections-Select All, go to Image-Canvas-Size, increase canvas to 510 x 610, make sure placement is now center
Activate base layer,Now make a new raster layer ( Do not deselect) name this layer shadow, got to effects -drop shadow
set to 0,0,100, blur 15.Duplicate layer 2 x's and merge down onto base layer.Hit control C then right click image to Deselect.
Hit control L to paste as new layer. Resize layer using settings below
Pull layer below base, Opactiy to 50,Blend mode to dissovle.
Make new raster layer and pull below enlarged layer. Fill this layer with a meduim color I used #636161
close the visiblity
